Caesarstone continues its partnership with House Beautiful for the 9th annual 2016 Kitchen of the Year. Atlanta designer Matthew Quinn redefines what a cooking space can be by marrying elegance with efficiency in a kitchen that’s packed with hidden surprises.
The 2016 House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year redefines what a home kitchen can be and celebrates the style of homeowner Elizabeth Garvish, who loves glamour and the color teal. The contemporary décor reflects her style through lux details, bold hues, customization and kitchen gadgetry.
The home’s kitchen countertops and island feature Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo 5131 in a honed finish. The kitchen opens to a great room with a large gas fireplace with a mantel in Caesarstone’s polished Calacatta Nuvo 5131. This stone is Caesarstone’s interpretation of natural Calacatta marble with cascading grey veins on a white opaque base.
Other unique components to the kitchen include two hidden dishwashers, an under-counter refrigerator drawer, foot-controlled faucets, a faucet that dispenses fully sparkling water, a built-in coffee station, and a secret fold-down compartment in the banquette seating with a charging station and pocket for electronics.
This year’s Home of the Year took place in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. The 2015 home was presented in an 1860’s New Orleans home.
Caesarstone has a long-standing, nine-year partnership with the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year and provides premium quality countertops that are highly functional and design forward. Caesarstone’s non-porous surfaces aid in the functionality of the design. “These innovations actually make meal prep and cleanup faster and easier,” Quinn told House Beautiful.
The kitchen also features products from American Standard, Ballard, Corbett Lighting, GROHE, Haiku Home, Hudson Valley Lighting, Kate Spade, Napoleon Fireplaces, Room and Board, Stanton Carpet, Sunbrella, Thermador, Thibaut and Woodward.
