Renowned designer Brian Gluckstein has created the Fall season Princess Margaret Home Lottery Showhome since 2013. His latest creation is nothing short of extraordinary, pushing the limits of creativity with innovative uses of more than 10 different Caesarstone surfaces throughout the $5.5 million grand prize home. Watch an exclusive interview with Brian Gluckstein and our VP of North American Marketing, Elizabeth Margles, and read on for all the beautiful details.
Starting in the showstopping foyer, Gluckstein used 5131 Calacatta Nuvo, 5100 Vanilla Noir, and 5130 Cosmopolitan White to create an entryway with serious presence. The intricate, graphic flooring design mirrors the large, curved bay windows of the home.
Moving into the bright, open kitchen, 5111 Statuario Nuvo was used around the perimeter, as well as for the countertops, backsplash and floating shelves. Gluckstein then grounded the space with a 5101 Empira Black kitchen island in a matte, honed finish. To create a more dynamic, textural space, “you can mix colors, you can mix finishes; everything goes”, says Caesarstone’s Elizabeth Margles. “I want people to have that confidence; it doesn’t have to be so matchy”, adds Gluckstein.
Upstairs, the simply beautiful 1141 Pure White can be found throughout each ensuite bathroom. The light surface was used for the shower walls and bench of the principal and the shampoo niche of all three ensuites. The guest ensuite features a slightly brighter take with a shampoo niche in 1111 Vivid White.
The silk wallpapered principal closet features a large island topped with 6003 Coastal Grey. More than somewhere to lay out outfits, it’s a luxurious space to display fragrances, jewelry and all that inspires you.
In a space dedicated to washing, an easy-to-clean surface is key. The 1141 Pure White countertop in the second-floor laundry room is spacious enough for folding and resistant to stains from bleach or other detergents.
Gluckstein thought of every detail in his design, including where to store the wine. Dark and stain-resistant, 5100 Vanilla Noir was the natural choice for the wine cabinet countertop.
